Spiraea - Renaissance
Spiraea - Renaissance The Spirea 'Renaissance', Spirea vanhouttei 'Renaissance', has improved disease resistance. This bridalwreath-like plant shares the same arching displays of snow white flowers as its old time parent. Arching boughs blossom in mid to late spring and are stunning on cloudy days or in moonlight. It makes a popular cut flower for wreath making. Renaissance is very effective as a specimen or as a dark green background shrub that turns orange-red in the fall. This plant spreads out generously along fence lines and fills in foundation planting along large barren walls. This spirea tolerates a wide range of soil conditions and is very cold hardy. A deciduous shrub, it should be placed in full sun. * Fall color * Hardy * Disease resistance
