Sedum - Star Dust - Sale Price: $49.95 Sedum Star Dust, Sedum 'Star Dust', is a pale pink budded succulent sedum with grey-green leaves, topped with large, flat, white flower-heads in late summer. Star Dust begins to produce green broccoli-like buds in mid-summer, which gradually open into large clear-white flower heads, later developing a tinge of pink. Star Dust is a valuable late source of nectar for butterflies and bees too. This sedum looks great planted in bold drifts towards the front of a sunny, well-drained border. Seed heads also add some winter interest. It is best to apply a thin layer of compost each spring, followed by a 2-inch layer of mulch to keep soil moist and control weeds. Choose an area where the plant will receive sun to partial shade. Grass - Yaku Jima Maiden - Sale Price: $49.95 The Grass 'Yaku Jima' Maiden, Miscanthus sinensis 'Yaku Jima', is compact with fine textured foliage that turns reddish brown in the fall and remains attractive well into winter. The reddish flowers are showy but not quite as fluffy as most. 'Yaku Jima' is a slightly bigger plant than 'Adagio', but the main difference is that its leaves are even narrower, almost needle fine! Being very hardy and low growing, it tolerates a wide range of soil types; moderately drought tolerant; holds up to wind and snow. Use as a specimen, in a container, as a border, along walkways, or by the water's edge. 'Yaku Jima' prefers full sun and moist, well drained soil; a great grass for small gardens.

Warm-season grasses need warm soil to begin their growth, so Burgundy Bunny won't start growing until mid to late spring or even early summer. This miniature fountain grass will turn shades of brown as the weather turns colder. Once this happens, and you live in an area where this grass will survive the winter, trim back to a few inches tall. You can leave the dried grasses and seed heads in your garden for winter interest; covered with snow, this ornamental grass can be quite striking. Daylily - Montego Melonâ„¢ - Sale Price: $42.75 The Daylily 'Montego Melon', Hemerocallis 'TP 06-13', is an early-blooming daylily with soft yellow blooms on a more compact plant.  Because of its long bloom season, and multiple flowering cycles, this daylily is perfect for mass plantings and perennial beds! The compact grass-like foliage is rust resistant and matures to 15-18 inches, so it is considered a low growing daylily.  This rugged, adaptable, vigorous perennial endures in a garden for many years with little or no care. Daylilies adapt to a wide range of soil and light conditions.  They establish quickly, grow vigorously, and survive winters with little or no injury.  Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month.   Divide 'Montego Melon' every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline; divide in early spring.   Plant daylilies in sites that provide well-drained soil and plenty of sun.
