Rhododendron - P.J.M. - Sale Price: $78.45 Rhododendron - P.J.M., Rhododendron 'P.J.M.', is a compact evergreen with a mounded, neat appearance. The foliage covering is dense, and this landscape plant typically grows 4' to 6' tall, but can grow to 10' with a width about two-thirds the height. P.J.M.'s evergreen leaves turn a wonderful deep mahogany-purple in winter and with more sun exposure, its winter foliage color intensifies. It is one of the most reliable rhododendrons for northern climates. Rhododendrons are ornamental, acidic-soil loving broad-leaf evergreens. They grow best in partial shade. Plant in a location protected from strong winter winds. P.J.M. loves to be planted with pre-moistened peat moss and well drained soil is a must! Cotoneaster - Tom Thumb Creeping - Sale Price: $64.25 The Tom Thumb Creeping Cotoneaster, Cotoneaster adpressus 'Tom Thumb', is an interesting, very dwarf, very dense and compact ground cover-type shrub. It has a unique appeal because of its very shiny, small leaves that turn a brilliant red-crimson in the autumn. 'Tom Thumb' rarely produces flowers and fruit, but when it occurs the blooms are small, pinkish-white. Then the very small, ¼, red fruits follow. This cotoneaster spreads by rooting in where the branches touch the soil. Its branches are opposite along the stem so creates a herringbone effect or pattern. 'Tom Thumb' is a true dwarf, not only in that it remains very close to the ground, but even the leaves are tinier than the species. It is a leggy, suckering, deciduous shrub, somewhat irregular in shape. It is a strong, long lived; popular shrub that is easily grown in a neutral soil, with peat or leaf mold enrichment, and it prefers full sun. Katherine Havemeyer Lilac tolerates light shade, but best bloom is in full sun. It grows 10-12 feet tall and 8-10 feet wide which makes a very colorful border or screen.
