Japanese Spurge - Green Sheen - Sale Price: $56.95 The Japanese Spurge 'Green Sheen', Pachysandra terminalis 'Green Sheen', has lustrous, shiny green leaves; the sheen is so impressive you think it can't be real! It is an evergreen ground cover, and the plant has a tidy habit which makes it a landscape winner.  It grows in deep shade and is ideal for using under shallow rooted trees. Maturing at a height of 12 inches, it spreads slowly to moderately fast by underground rhizomes.  'Green Sheen' prefers well drained, organically rich loam and shade.  It will tolerate some sun in northern zones, but needs shade in southern zones. The large 5” flowers are rich red, very round, and then open flat.  It has finely ruffled edges and a contrasting bright yellow throat.  The flowers have a delicate fragrance for an added bonus! Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener.  They will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions; prefers a full sun area that is well-drained. Hosta - Old Glory - Sale Price: $42.75 Hosta Old Glory, Hosta 'Old Glory' (PP#12,503), will add color to your landscape foliage with this medium size Designer Hosta from Shady Oaks Nursery.  Hosta 'Old Glory' PP12503 is a sport of 'Glory' and has sweet, heart-shaped leaves with golden yellow centers. This golden yellow hosta has a 1 slightly rippled, dark green margin.  In midsummer, 24 scapes are produced that display soft light lavender flowers.  This fast growing sport of Hosta 'Glory' will take your breath away! This is a low care perennial and is ideal for shady positions and is one of the most popular for landscapes.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails. It is most at home in well moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.
