Large, freestone, sweet, refreshing, juicy, with yellow flesh. The Garden Delight Nectarine has a yellow skin, blushed with red, and the pulp has a sweet, orange-like flavor. This is a genetic dwarf tree that grows anywhere from 4-6 feet tall, so it can be easily covered to protect it from frost. It has dense foliage, and in the spring it displays dark pink, double blossoms that profusely cover the branches. Garden Delight is self-fertile, heavy bearing, and ripens in mid August in central California. It requires 500-600 hours of chilling. This fruit was developed by Floyd Zaiger.
