Daylily - Pardon Me The Hemerocallis ‘Pardon Me’, also known as a Daylily, has a very fragrant, small cranberry-wine, almost red flower, with a yellow throat, and a flower size of 3”. It has dark green foliage and will reach a height of 18” and a plant spread of 23-29”. ‘Pardon Me’ will bloom from May through July, with outstanding color and a definite rebloomer. This plant prefers a full sun area that is well-drained. Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage, (remove in late fall). ‘Pardon Me’ is considered to be pest and deer resistant. Once established, the daylily can be an excellent groundcover on slopes because it has roots that hold soil against erosion. It has a plant height of 6-8' and a spread of 3-4'. The brilliant red flowers are 10 in diameter, so 'Lord Baltimore' is a colorful hibiscus that should not be missed! The deep green, lobed leaves make a wonderful contrast. 'Lady Baltimore' prefers moist to wet soil conditions and loves the heat of summer. It is frequently used as a specimen. It is best to plant this Hibiscus in a full sun to partial shade area, and it will tolerate most soil types. 'Lord Baltimore' looks wonderful with grasses, or as a background plant. It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture. Do not allow to dry to the wilting point. Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring; provide regular fertilization during the growing season. Be careful to not over water until plants show signs of growth! For best performance, plant before the heat of the summer. 'Lord Baltimore' is suitable for very large containers, but pots must be protected over winter. Although the hibiscus grows tall, the need for staking is rare. These plants will die back to ground level during the winter months. | Hosta - Sleeping Beauty - Sale Price: $39.95 Hosta Sleeping Beauty, Hosta 'Sleeping Beauty', is a sport of the award winning Hosta 'Halcyon' and is one of our favorites! The pointed, frosty blue-green leaves are complemented by a lovely creamy margin. Hosta 'Sleeping Beauty' is a superb grower with thick, slug resistant foliage; pale lavender blue flowers appear in mid-summer. Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.
