Salvia - Marcus - Sale Price: $42.75 The Salvia ‘Marcus’, Salvia nemorosa, (PPAF) is a new dwarf version of the Salvia ‘May Night’. With its compact, dense habit of growing, it is easy to accommodate in any perennial garden. Marcus produces spikes of intense violet-blue flowers bloom on top gray-green foliage and flower from June to October. ‘Marcus’ has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 12-18”. Salvia ‘Marcus’ should be planted in full sun in a moist well-drained area. To increase bloom time, it should be cut back after the first bloom. ‘Marcus’ is a magnet for butterflies, bees and hummingbirds and is deer-resistant. This salvia does very well in heat. It is beneficial to sheer salvia after blooming to promote fresh foliage and blooms. Marcus may be divided every 3 to 5 years in early spring. It is hardy for container gardening, as a border plant and provides excellent cut flowers. Hosta - Sagae - Sale Price: $56.95 Hosta Sagae, Hosta 'Sagae', displays frosty green leaves with creamy yellow margins that form very large impressive clumps.  Hosta 'Sagae' is one of our favorites! With very heavy substance and good slug resistance, 'Sagae' provides pale lavender flowers on 34 scapes in mid-summer. Winner of numerous awards including: the 1982 Trophy Award, 1987 Benedict Award, and 2000 American Hosta Growers Society Hosta of the Year. 'Sagae' is considered to be the most dramatic variegated hosta ever introduced.  Plants mature into breath-taking specimens reaching 6' in width! Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.  Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves.  'Sagae' is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant. Grass - Yaku Jima Maiden - Sale Price: $49.95 The Grass 'Yaku Jima' Maiden, Miscanthus sinensis 'Yaku Jima', is compact with fine textured foliage that turns reddish brown in the fall and remains attractive well into winter. The reddish flowers are showy but not quite as fluffy as most. 'Yaku Jima' is a slightly bigger plant than 'Adagio', but the main difference is that its leaves are even narrower, almost needle fine! Being very hardy and low growing, it tolerates a wide range of soil types; moderately drought tolerant; holds up to wind and snow. Use as a specimen, in a container, as a border, along walkways, or by the water's edge. 'Yaku Jima' prefers full sun and moist, well drained soil; a great grass for small gardens.

Coral Bells - Obsidian - Sale Price: $42.75 The Coral Bells Obsidian, Heuchera 'Obsidian' (PP14,836), with its jet black, smooth round leaves, has the darkest foliage to date of the Coral Bells; closer to true black than any other Heuchera.  This wonderful deep purplish-black foliage also has a polished glassy luster! In early summer, 24” smoky purple buds appear on tall shoots and then open to cream colored flowers. Pair the Obsidian with Coral Bells Lime Ricky, Marmalade or Peach Flambe for a fantastic color contrast!
