Beebalm - Coral Reef
Beebalm - Coral Reef The Bee Balm 'Coral Reef', Monarda didyma 'Coral Reef', is a brilliant, neon coral-pink Bee Balm! This new selection has a habit similar to ‘Marshall's Delight’ and has demonstrated fairly good mildew resistance. Growing to 36-42 inches tall, 'Coral Reef' is an easy-to-grow native with hundreds of coral-pink flowers. Blooming in midsummer, it is a long-blooming and clean selection. This tough and aromatic plant attracts butterflies and hummingbirds with its sweetly scented flowers. It spreads enthusiastically in moist soil, but is more restrained in the average garden. It is best to deadhead regularly for repeat blooms, removing the spent flower and its stem down to the next bud or basal foliage. Grow in full sun average to moist soil with good drainage. Water well after planting and regularly until established. The exceptionally large, hot-pink blooms are long-lasting, so plant ‘Coral Reef’ where it can show off its bright color. * Drought tolerant * Aromatic * Mildew Resistant

Daylily - Caribbean Coral - Sale Price: $49.95 The Daylily 'Caribbean Coral', Hemerocallis 'TP 06-14', is an early-blooming daylily with bright orange blooms on a more compact plant. It has a long blooming season, and its multiple flowering cycles are perfect for mass plantings and perennial beds. The compact grass-like foliage is Rust resistant and it matures to 15-18 inches tall. Use as an accent plant, in borders or in mass plantings; grows well near water gardens and ponds. Daylilies can be planted as single plants when you are doing a mass planting, or in groups of 2 or 3 together which form clumps. Good soil health is a key factor in growing great daylilies. Daylilies do best with a pH between 6.5 and 7 (neutral to slightly acid). In most cases, increasing the organic matter in your soil will go a long way toward bringing your soil's pH into the proper range. Daylilies grow best when planted in full sun to partial shade . In areas that receive less than 6 hours of sun during the day, your daylilies will probably produce fewer and smaller blooms, and the foliage may not be as robust. |
| Grass - Maiden - Sale Price: $34.95 The Grass 'Maiden', Miscanthus sinensis 'Gracillimus', is a tall, graceful, clumping ornamental grass. The slender, weeping leaves are silvery-green and turn golden bronze in fall; a silver stripe runs up the middle of the sword-like green leaves. The flowers are white fan-shaped plumes in fall that extend above the foliage. The hardiness, the fine foliage and the spectacular fall colors have made 'Gracillimus' a favorite and very popular for years! Plant in spring or early summer when the soil is warm as the roots will grow only in warm soil. Planting too early in the spring may cause the roots to rot. Cut back the previous year’s growth before growth starts to appear in early spring. 'Gracillimus' has an arching shape and looks fabulous in the landscape as a specimen, screen or a nice mass of textured foliage; also looks great near a pond! For a carefree, year round interest grass, you cannot do better than Maiden grass! |
| Hosta - Regal Supreme - Sale Price: $42.75 The Hosta Regal Supreme, Hosta 'Regal Supreme', displays its wavy, attractive frosty blue leaves on an upright vase-shaped plant. Each leaf has a wide creamy yellow margin. As the summer progresses, the leaves’ colors change to blue-green with wide, creamy white margins. This exciting hosta is topped by lavender flowers in mid through late summer on very tall scapes; hummingbirds will come often to visit! Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails. Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light. The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves. 'Regal Supreme' is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant. Use this medium sized 'Regal Supreme' in mass plantings for a very colorful groundcover! * Vase shaped form * Frosty blue leaves * Attracts hummingbirds |
