Ash Leaf Spirea - Sem
Sem Ash Leaf Spirea, Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Sem' (16,336), has pinkish-red, fern-like spring foliage that unfurls along deep pink stems. In July and August the neat, round shrub covers itself with creamy white blossoms. This dwarf variety makes a wonderful low hedge, or a great accent. Sem is an improvement from older Sorbaria varieties. It is compact, better-branched, and denser than others; it creates a tight, bushy little mound in the garden, making a fine low hedge or accent planting as well as a shrub border. Sem is elegant, space-saving, and beautiful! Sem forms a neat 3 to 4 foot shrub in the partly shaded garden, which adds a nice texture. This shrub is easy to grow and quite adaptable, thriving in any well-drained soil. It is especially valuable for northern climates because of its hardiness! * Attracts butterflies* Dramatic fall color* Easy to grow

Rose of Sharon - Blue Satin - DetailsRose of Sharon - Blue Satin - Sale Price: $85.65
Rose of Sharon - Blue Satin, Hibiscus syriacus 'Marina' (PP12,680), is a vigorous, bloom-happy shrub. It not only gives you plenty of flowers, but boasts the most beautiful coloring in the Hibiscus world, and just doesn't know when to quit! Blue Satin has larger flowers, better color, more branching, and gives an all-around longer show. You'll love these huge 3-inch blooms, with magenta throats, and an ivory center that complements the strong royal blue tone of the petals. The flowers are very uniform in color, too -- no washed out end-of-season blooms here! A moderate grower, it's also pollution-tolerant. Rose of Sharon prefers full sun and well-drained soil and is very tolerant of heat and drought. It is a fine choice for hot, dry spots where other shrubs are not happy. Keep it well watered during growth. Blue Satin does best in full sun, but light shade is acceptable, especially in far southern or southwestern climates. One's ability to shape Rose of Sharon also makes the shrub a prime candidate for hedges. It is a profuse bloomer and not only blooms late, but leafs out late, as well. You will love the blue flowers with the magenta throat!

Snowberry - White - DetailsSnowberry - White - Sale Price: $54.25

Snowberry is unique because few shrubs produce white berries! Hummingbirds love the flowers, and in the fall the white berries are an excellent food for birds.  The berries hang on all season so they offer winter and spring landscape interest. Snowberry is good for holding soil on steep bank and prefers light sun and moist conditions. This plant works best when planted in masses or mixed with several other plants of similar height. White Snowberry is a dense, twiggy shrub that grows 5-6 feet tall and 3-6 feet wide, and it spreads by suckers underground. This plant prefers sun to medium shade, tolerates any soil, and is easy to transplant.  It should be pruned before new growth begins. It is a delicate looking plant with a quietly enchanting quality.  The egg white berries seem to float lightly in the air, all about the plant.  This and their small, scattered leaf pattern, give the plant a low but airy quality! * White berries * Delicate looking * Twiggy shrub
